Signs of God's Grace in Curitiba
I grew up in the countryside of Taiwan. It's easy for me to receive the revelation through nature. As Psalm 19:1 expresses, "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament declares his handiwork."
In the second week after arriving in Brazil. We visited Curitiba, a city 400 kilometers away from Sao Paulo. It is located in the state of Paraná and is the seventh largest city in Brazil with a population of approximately 1.75 million. Curitiba won the 2010 Global Sustainable City Award and is one of the important cities in southern Brazil.
We came here because there are Chinese from all over the world, especially from mainland China.
Yesterday we arrived at the YWAM base "Jocum Monte das águias" where there were many missionaries of different nationalities. There happened to be a seminary class going on, with nearly a hundred people taking the class. Arlis and another leader named Alejandro (Venezuela) visited the base and introduced the history of its establishment and various ministries.
After dinner at noon, Elder Chen Shengxiong took me and Chen Yun to visit MAIS (Refugee Ministry), where we met Pastor Maia, and his wife took us to visit the base. There are currently no refugees, but refugees from Syria and Iran will be received in February. This year we will also receive 80 Afghan widow families.
The "Easter lilies" in the valleys are blooming all the way. God is expressing His faithfulness, mercy and everlasting love to me through nature.
"Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD.How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings." (Psalm 36: 5-6)
